LIFECYCLE CASE STUDY
Three decisions behind the work.
Historical project summary: October 2023
01 · THE CONTEXT
The starting point
The historical brief described a marketplace-led business looking for additional ways to reconnect with customers. The email work focused on the relationship after the first transaction.
02 · THE WORK
The decisions behind the journey.
Create the core follow-up
The project summary records core flows built to reach returning customers. The emphasis was on creating a repeatable route back into the brand’s own communication.
Explore the offline connection
The strategy considered QR codes as a route from offline materials into automated journeys. This is documented as strategy, rather than a verified rollout of every proposed touchpoint.
Use education in the messages
The delivered email approach combined product education with commercial follow-up. The case study concerns the communication work and makes no clinical or treatment claim.
INSIDE THE DECISIONS
Create a reason for the customer to return directly.
A marketplace transaction does not automatically create an ongoing relationship with the brand. Daily Remedy’s brief addressed that gap through core flows and educational content. The proposed QR route connected offline materials with a voluntary next interaction, giving the communication programme an entry point beyond another product listing.
The invitation needs to be useful in its own right. Explain what the customer will receive and connect that promise to the first message. Product education can support the next decision without implying a clinical outcome. The QR concept remains strategy in the project plan; the flow and content work is the supported delivery story.
Keep acquisition and follow-up in the same plan.
Before adding an offline entry point, map where it leads, how signup is recorded and which message follows. Then distinguish a new subscriber from someone who has already bought. Those states call for different context, even if the customer encountered the same product first.
For another marketplace-led business, measure voluntary signups, relevant follow-up and subsequent purchases separately. Review the complete route with a test customer before using a headline about growth. The historical summary establishes the intended relationship and the core communication work; a commercial comparison needs a dated baseline and consistent tracking.
03 · THE OUTCOME
What the work delivered.
The historical project record supports a flow and content implementation story. It does not supply a dated, comparable financial result, so this page does not assign a revenue lift to the work.
WHAT TO APPLY
Take the lesson into your own programme.
Map the route from the first transaction to the next voluntary interaction with the brand. Make the sign-up useful and the follow-up relevant. Keep proposed acquisition routes separate from channels that have actually launched.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WORK
What this case study shows.
How can offline touchpoints support an owned email audience?
Daily Remedy’s historical project connected customer-flow planning and product education with a strategy for bringing offline touchpoints into a direct relationship. For a similar brand, define a useful reason to join the email programme and make the entry path clear. The case documents strategy and delivery rather than a quantified acquisition result.
How should an implementation case study be evaluated?
Look for a defined scope, dated delivery milestones, working customer journeys and a clear distinction between creative, launched work and the remaining roadmap. Implementation evidence shows what was delivered. It should not be converted into a revenue or retention claim without a measured outcome and a suitable comparison.
