Viktor: Help an AI Employee Become Part of the Working Week

Viktor brings an AI employee into Slack and Microsoft Teams. Installing the product is the beginning of the customer journey: people still need a useful first conversation, the right connected tools and a job worth repeating.

The lifecycle challenge

A new workspace owner and an invited teammate arrive with different questions. The owner needs to understand how Viktor fits into the team’s workflow. A teammate needs a clear reason to start a conversation and try a useful task. Treating both people as the same subscriber makes those next steps harder to explain.

Thrivelia’s work focused on communication around customer progression: helping people understand what to do next, why it matters and how to bring Viktor into their working week.

What Thrivelia worked on

The engagement brought lifecycle planning, email copy, persona variations and implementation review together. Customer.io was the platform for organising the communication around the customer journey.

The lifecycle structure separated the owner’s experience from the invited teammate’s experience. Messages were framed around meaningful steps in product use, rather than a sequence of generic announcements.

Copy connected a product action with a practical reason to take it. The goal was to make the next useful action easier to recognise: start a conversation, connect a relevant tool or try a task that can become part of an existing workflow.

From a sequence to a working lifecycle

A lifecycle plan needs to match how the product actually works. Implementation review helped connect the planned messages with the experience people would receive. Post-launch measurement was part of the work so that the journey could be reviewed as customers moved through it.

For an AI product, activation is not simply opening an email. The more useful question is whether communication helps someone experience value in the product and find a reason to return. That gives the team a clearer basis for improving the journey over time.

The approach

Start with the customer’s role. Identify the product milestone that matters next. Write the message around a useful action. Review implementation and measurement together. This approach keeps lifecycle communication connected to the customer experience.
