LIFECYCLE CASE STUDY
Three decisions behind the work.
Launch confirmed: 10 January 2025
01 · THE CONTEXT
The starting point
The project needed a consistent set of messages across the early customer journey. The final checks covered both the presentation and the status of each flow before activation.
02 · THE WORK
The decisions behind the journey.
Build the core sequence
The first launch included welcome, site abandonment, browse abandonment, abandoned checkout and added-to-cart flows.
Review the final presentation
The team incorporated the latest logo and gradient-text changes into the Klaviyo emails before asking for the final launch approval.
Launch in clear stages
On 10 January the client approved activation and the team confirmed the five journeys were live. Product-specific post-purchase emails were still being finalised separately.
INSIDE THE DECISIONS
Five early journeys, five different customer moments.
Zen Maitri’s first launch joined welcome, site, browse, cart and checkout communication. These are related stages but not identical decisions. A subscriber who has just joined needs an introduction; someone who viewed a product or started checkout has more specific context. The messages should reflect that progression rather than repeat one general invitation.
The final review included logo and gradient-text changes in the Klaviyo build. Checking the actual platform message matters because design approval and the version customers receive are separate stages. The 10 January approval and launch confirmation establish where that first set reached a live state.
Leave a clear boundary around the next phase.
Product-specific post-purchase work remained in progress when the five early journeys launched. Keeping that boundary visible gives the client an accurate handover and a sensible next priority. It also prevents a reader from assuming the first launch covered every stage of the relationship.
For another product-led programme, test the events that move a customer from consideration to purchase, then define the follow-up that belongs after the order. Confirm each state in the destination account and inspect the message on mobile. Assess the resulting customer behaviour separately from the number of flows activated; implementation depth is a delivery outcome, not a financial lift by itself.
03 · THE OUTCOME
What the work delivered.
Five core journeys were confirmed live on 10 January 2025. The launch milestone does not include the still-pending post-purchase work, and no revenue uplift is inferred from the implementation alone.
WHAT TO APPLY
Take the lesson into your own programme.
Treat launch as a sequence of verified states: creative approved, message built, event checked and journey activated. Keep the unfinished work visible instead of applying one completion label to the entire programme.
Launch confirmed: 10 January 2025. This case study covers the specific work described. Journey diagrams explain the approach.
QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WORK
What this case study shows.
Which core email journeys did Zen Maitri launch?
Zen Maitri launched welcome, site-abandonment, browse-abandonment, cart and checkout journeys in Klaviyo in January 2025 after creative and implementation review. The case documents that foundation. For another account, prioritise against traffic, available events and purchase intent rather than treating a fixed number of flows as a revenue guarantee.
How should an implementation case study be evaluated?
Look for a defined scope, dated delivery milestones, working customer journeys and a clear distinction between creative, launched work and the remaining roadmap. Implementation evidence shows what was delivered. It should not be converted into a revenue or retention claim without a measured outcome and a suitable comparison.
